This is a good product for connecting analog audio equipment and PC/laptop. The Audacity software isn't bad, but it takes practice. I highly recommend reading their instructions and checking out their tutorials. It's possible to convert your analog music into a great digital format if you start with a quality audio recording. I started with a high end tape recorder and then ran the signal through an equalizer in front of a laptop. If you don't have an equalizer, Audacity has a built-in equalizer, or you can boost the signal through the Effects menu. This will eliminate most complaints that the digital recording isn't loud enough. I split the recording into separate WAV files to create separate songs and then I can import the WAV files into iTunes. It is time consuming and may take some time to fully master. As a music lover, I wanted digital recordings of my rare vinyl and live tape recordings.
