I almost ordered a lighter after reading some reviews. I went ahead and ordered it anyway, despite people claiming the lighter wasn't working properly and/or just stopped working. The lighter is a good size and fits easily in your pocket or purse. The style is attractive considering many butane lighters are primarily for men or camping! So this lighter was exactly what I was looking for. By the way, it works great and lights up every time. I've only had it a few weeks but if you know how to use a butane lighter it will usually always light for you. It has been claimed that when a lighter runs out of liquid, it will not, or only rarely, light after refilling. Fuel. This is the secret to keeping your butane lighter going. Buy good fuel (cheap fuel can clog it and cause it not to ignite until cleaned). Second, after the lighter is empty (by the way, I found that there is enough fuel for a long time), turn it upside down. You will notice the spot where you fill it. Before you fill it, take a pen or something similar and press on it until you can't hear any more air. Air in the lighter can cause it not to ignite. After removing the air, fill it. I found I had to use about three or four short bursts of fuel. You can tell when it's full because you can feel the chill of the butane on the lighter. Finally, even if you use the best butane, the lighter can clog. If you've followed the previous steps and the lighter still won't light, you can adjust the small piece of metal inside the lighter with the burners - sometimes it can move. If that doesn't work, take a cotton swab and dip it in isopropyl alcohol. Take the tip and rub all three burners with it, which will unclog the holes in case fuel has clogged them or they just get dirty. After cleaning, let the alcohol dry a little, then light it. If you follow the steps above, your lighter should work very well. I've only had the lighter for about two weeks, but I don't expect it to break down any time soon. I definitely recommend this lighter; It's a good gift and you can't beat the price!
