Review on Scarves Shrugs Shawls Knitted Techniques by Doris Tran

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A versatile collection of accessories using a variety of techniques beautifully photographed in fluffy yarn

I'm a huge fan of British yarn and design company Rowan and Sarah Hutton is one of my favorites due to her stunning design stable . This collection features over 22 accessory patterns designed by Hutton and knitted in luxurious Rowan yarn. The photography and style is beautiful and doesn't compete with great design. What I particularly like about this book: 1. The variety of techniques used - from knitting threads to lace, braids, ruffles and structural stitches, there is something for everyone here.2. Variety of Subjects - While the book is limited to scarves, shrugs and shawls, a wide variety of shapes and lines are presented. Traditional rectangular shawls and triangular shawls, as well as layered button-downs, a short headscarf, a collared cape, shawls so large they could be called stoles, even a hooded shawl.3. The versatility of clothing - it can be worn in different ways, depending on the style. They are easy to customize with yarn and color choices.4. Quality instructions, diagrams, lots of photos, useful tips. This makes a great Christmas gift for a knitter (let LYS help you choose your yarn) or treat yourself. Lots of ways to give gifts to others.
