Review on 🌬️ Ivation 5-in-1 HEPA Air Purifier & Ozone Generator with Timer and Remote, Ionizer & Deodorizer - Cleans 3,700 Sq/Ft - HEPA, Carbon, Photocatalytic Filters, UV Light, Negative Ion Generator by Chelsea Mendoza

This unit has replaced my Ivation Ozone Generator, Air Purifier, Ionizer and Deodorizer which does not have 5 stage filtration. I wanted to update my filtering. First of all, this machine is much larger (12.5 x 11 x 15 inches) than the one I had (9.8 x 8.9 x 12.8 inches). For some reason I assumed it would be the same size. So if you value space, keep that in mind. FIRST IMPRESSION: Assembly was minimal. All you have to do is unpack it and unfold the ceramic plates. Then you remove the filter material (there is a screw at the top of the back of the device). The filter material slides out easily and then 3 ceramic filters are inserted. The UV lamp is already installed, so you don't have to worry about it. After plugging in the power cord and activating the ON switch (in the lower right corner on the back), you must first set the clock (see the manual for instructions). You also need to put two AAA batteries (not included) in the remote control. The first thing that struck me was how loud the device was! I've seen other reviewers mention this issue, but since I appreciate white noise, I didn't think it would be an issue for me. Not correct! In comparison, if my old Ivation air purifier was set to the highest fan speed, it would be quieter than the unit's lowest fan speed! My wife and I have this car in our bedroom. We set the fan to medium and had to double the TV volume to hear the movie. Yes, it's that loud! Air purification seems to work great. We could see a big difference within a few hours. I love that it has UV light for improved filtration and germ killing. My old unit was quieter and more efficient in terms of the amount of air to clean and move. My guess is that with this larger machine and the additional filters that the air has to pass through, the air capacity is reduced. So I'm assuming you're trading air volume for purity. I think we can always get used to the extra noise or just reduce it when we're in a room. Overall I'm impressed with this car. I will update this review over time and let you know if I run into any issues. Thank you for reading! Please let me know if this review was helpful.*** UPDATE 7/1/21 ***Note that it is almost impossible to find a replacement UV lamp for this air purifier! I've been looking for a month with no success. I even contacted the manufacturer and it just said "item not available". So if you are buying this primarily for a UV lamp, make sure you find a replacement lamp as they are only for this unit and are not interchangeable with other standard UV lamps. *** UPDATE 9/3/21 *** There was a problem with the device shutting down spontaneously, even though the timer function was not activated. I contacted the seller and the customer service was GREAT. I was able to trade my unit in for another and this newer one is MUCH quieter than the one I had previously. Maybe the one I originally received had a fan defect? DISCLAIMER: This is a late updated review as it happened a few months ago. I just wanted people to know that their car might not be as loud as the one I originally got. I still think this is a great air purifier and would recommend it and the excellent customer service. As far as I know, there are no replacement UV lamps.
