I usually wear a medium 7-8. When item arrived it was a couple sizes too big. I returned and purchased small 6 and it fit perfectly. The nice material is quite stretchy. I'm athletic built but don't have wide hips or nice plump butt, however my upper legs are thick muscular. Well made and very comfortable. Recommend buy
