I did a lot of research before deciding on this device. It has way more features than I've ever used, but that means it has everything I need. Setting it up is a little tricky. For some reason, the Bluetooth pairing failed at first. A simple restart of the phone and Garmin fixed the problem. The touchscreen works well but is a little slow to respond to touch. Although it's not scary. The battery life seems good enough, but I think around 8 hours of use is the best you'll get from a new device. I would recommend charging every 5 hours of driving. Today I only ride a road bike. I use Strava routes, map features and HRM. For my display I have mph, distance, ride time, heart rate and 5 mile laps. Downloading courses/routes from Garmin Connect and /strava is very easy. The map function worked flawlessly for me and informed me of upcoming turns with many advance notifications. It even warns of upcoming sharp turns. Notification alerts are a bonus. It's a nice feature to be able to see incoming texts and know if the weather is right or not, if I have to stop to reply. The emergency call function is also good. I accidentally sent an emergency response when trying to turn off the device and my family responded immediately. Oops. Unfortunately, after my third ride with this device, I dropped it and the top left corner of the screen cracked. While I had no issues with the device and its features, I was concerned that water would seep into the device and destroy it. I've emailed Garmin Support to let them know I'm willing to pay for a screen replacement. They responded very quickly and said they would service the unit under warranty. Wow! So, my friends, you do it. I can't say enough about Garmin support. Excellent. The replacement device was in my hands for 10 days. You have my business
