What feature does a smartphone need the most to be considered essential? For me, the most important features are those that actually work as advertised, rather than flashy aesthetics and an impressive display. I thought I'd put the Samsung S8+ through its paces before committing to a purchase. It was motivated by ads for this phone that claim to be "tearing" Apple items like the Tuzik heating pad: After getting over the initial excitement over the new phone, the test findings are disheartening. Because the screen is circular, you always feel like you're being squeezed in while viewing the text. You might as well try reading fancy publications with one hand. Each page may be rolled up into its own tube. The same thing happens here while checking out details on the s8 + screen. Moreover, any size greater than 6 inches is merely decorative. The screen's proportions discourage him from offering anything. There is no additional content when reading vertically; instead, you save time by having to scroll less. When reading on a horizontal device, the text appears as if you are peering through a large window in a heavily fortified train or tank. The display develops reddish streaks (greenish on some samples) at the corners, which is both odd and inconvenient. The fingerprint scanner was only not mentioned in a "convenient" location because only the slothful bothered to do so. Samsung, the latest S9 and S10 models include a scanner in addition to a camera. Plus, a rolling supply of napkins to blot greasy fingers from his eye. Napkins won't be a problem with the S8+, but the fingerprint scanner has been replaced by a whimsical finger that is always in the way of the camera. An iris scanner, if you must know, is present. Clearly, then, there are instances in which it is effective. Nothing will usually happen if you tensely goggle and make eyes at your smartphone in the sun. Also, it's not exactly easy on the eyes. When competing with Apple, it seems that Samsung blew their stack on the whistle in an effort to impress (design ). It's possible the design worked, but everything else is up in the air. The review's structure prevents us from addressing many of the peculiarities you've no doubt noticed. For this reason, despite my initial admiration for the smartphone's unique design, it ultimately failed the test for me.
