Our cat is about 12 years old, which means that she is older. In August her teeth have to be completely removed. She also had a jaw injury from dealing with stray cats that broke into our home during a terrible hurricane that kicked in our door while we slept. Not only does she love this brand and most of their products, but the mousse has really helped her feed without fear of pain. It also allows us to connect with her while sitting and feeding her straight from the pack, similar to Tiki Sticks. It also helps us keep track of portion sizes as she has had weight issues in the past. She loves to eat, which makes sense considering she has a hard time eating due to pain. I've always been a fan of the smell of cat food, hence the missing stars, but I'm happy to take it in exchange for our cat's health. Right now, it's the only food she can eat pain-free, along with Greenies soft chews. If someone has a cat with dental problems and cannot afford surgery, consider Tiki Cat products. I very much doubt that you will be disappointed. (They also keep very well in the fridge in ziplock bags for up to 3 days if you need to separate the bags!)
