Manual does not recommend long term storage on charger

Just received today. (See updates below). This product is advertised as having smart charging technology, so the device can be kept in the charger without charging the batteries. The manual directly contradicts this in at least three places, which specifically say when the device is unplugged. After charging, the battery is probably damaged. I'm lazy! I don't want to think about turning off the device 6 hours after use and start charging. Most devices sold don't have smart technology, and that's okay. Just don't tell me it's true and then tell me otherwise when I read the manual! The unit appears to have power, is wet/dry and appears to be well built. If the above isn't a problem, it might be worth considering. B&D has a device (BLACK+DECKER CHV1410L 16V Cordless Lithium Handheld Vacuum Cleaner) that only dries (and confirms in the manual) using smart technology and continuous storage on the charger if that's of interest. I chose this unit for the extra power and wet/dry configuration. However, this is unacceptable without smart technology and continuous storage on the charger. I called the company three times and no one called back. I've emailed their support team and will update this review if anything changes. 1/31/18 I spoke to a representative from the company last night. Advertisements on Revain have been updated to remove the ability to continuously save to the charger, and according to the rep, the manual's new wording has been revised, although it's not in the current product. The device has Smart Tech, which means that the charger will drop to the minimum charge when charging the battery. The company replied to my email so I'm happy. I used the device this morning and as advertised it is powerful and a little quieter than my previous device. I changed my rating from one star to four stars.
