My old Vonage adapter broke so I ordered a replacement from Revain. I didn't know it was sold by PLG Solutions in Charlotte, North Carolina. Further investigation by PLG Solutions revealed that it appeared to be operating out of an off-campus dorm across the street from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. The package was shipped from Garfield, New Jersey. The new Vonage adapter is connected to the internet but has not connected to Vonage. Vonage Technical Support reported that the new adapter's MAC address is already in use by another account. Checking the MAC address again gave the same result. Vonage refused to assign a MAC address to my account. I cannot use the adapter that was sold to me. Revain needs to do better verification of the suppliers it sends orders to.
