More memory for my budget laptop

I bought my Acer laptop about 6 or 7 years ago, it has been sluggish for what I'm doing with it. If originally supplied with a 4GB memory card. I was advised that 8GB would be best for him. I was hesitant to change it myself but I'm glad I did after watching all the instruction videos. Simple, simple, just a bunch of screws that I had to remove.
