I bought two of these cables -- one for me, one for my son. His continues working just fine with his phone, his primary music device. Mine gave me trouble from day 1 with everything I attached it to.The plug was touchy with my MacBook Pro. had to jiggle it a bit to get it to seat correctly. With my iPad and Fire tablets, it usually worked when first plugged in, then needed moved and jiggled to maintain connection.After doing more testing and cable swapping (I used to be a computer tech, so testing to isolate problems is in my blood), I determined that the problem was apparently a bad plug on my cable. Switched back to the coiled cable that came with the headphones and everything works great. Threw away this cable and bought a straight straight replacement cable from Audio-Technica.
