If you decide to use this for storage you will have no way to block the pet entrance since the only support for the bottom is a very flimsey piece of something with a topping of fur like material. If you also plan to use this as an ottoman it is not soft. The top/lid has very little cushioning. My senior cat has gone in a few times for very short periods, I don't think he likes it much. Maybe your pet will enjoy it. Overall it is an attractive ottoman, color is true to type. I just think I wasted money.
