It was so easy to set up I sabotaged myself thinking it would be more difficult. I unpacked the router, connected it to the modem, it blinked and then lit. The default network name and password are on a sticker on the bottom of the router, so you don't have to change anything if you don't want to. All you have to do is open a browser on your phone or computer and connect to the internet. You can then enter the website in the "Quick Start Guide" and go to the router settings. (I figured this would be more difficult, so I unplugged the cable and plugged my computer into the router like I did with my old router. You don't have to.) The settings were easy to navigate and easy to use. read. Within a minute I was able to turn off the broadcast, a feat I was never able to achieve on my old router. We have a smaller house, 1000 SF, which is enough for our home. I bought the $5 extended warranty just in case but everything works great. My parents need a new router and I will suggest this one, even tech-savvy people should be able to install it and set up their network in minutes! Update: It's been a year and a half and this router is still working great. And it has no problem if we lose power - it restarts as soon as power is applied.
