I'm a big fan of running compression socks. I used them for a 5k run on July 4th. My legs felt comfortable during the run and felt pretty good afterwards, and the next day I was just a little sore. These compression stockings worked very well to prevent severe muscle pain while calf muscle pain was fairly minimal. They absorb moisture very well. Compared to other compression stockings I have used, they are not as tight on the shin as some of the well known brands of compression stockings. I'm 5'4", wear size 7-8 shoes and weigh about 130 pounds. I bought medium socks. The foot fits well but the sock is above the knee. I had to roll it up a bit to stay under my kneecap. In general I liked her. They kept my legs and calves fairly comfortable for a 5k run but not as good as a big top quality brand. If they were a bit tighter and not so high I would give them 5 stars. But for some fun designs that can be used for a short run like 5k and fit the theme, they worked well and created a 4th of July look. I would give them 5 stars.
