These cloths absorb dust well. However, it does not work as well as the Swiffer advertised. If you use this in an area with concentrated dust, it may or may not pick up all of the dust. I've noticed that you may have to walk over the same spot multiple times to pick up the heavy dust. The advert gives the impression that you just have to move it through all the dirt and it will collect everything, but that's just not true. It's okay to pick up dust, but the fact that this is a newer, high-performance item doesn't matter.
