I bought an electric kettle by the same brand a couple years ago. This is definitely an upgrade! The previous one was dropped and the lid bent a little preventing a full seal. However, this one has a stronger gooseneck, better handle with the thumb grip, and the lid is larger making it easier to fill and close. The max line is also easier to see as you fill. I was extremely happy with my previous one but I am happy to have decided to try this newer one. It also has a drip opening at the base--this is helpful because am not always careful when I fill it and I tend to spill water. So happy with the upgrades. This one even heats up the water faster and has more capacity.
