The company seems to take good care of their customers. I received my fish finder the day after ordering and the company contacted me with a free waterproof case. I finally used it yesterday at the bay for the first time. I may have missed something with the depth gauge calibration as it told me I was at 26ft when I was about 3ft or so. But he read fish. Since I haven't received a case yet, I kept the device in a plastic bag to keep it dry. missed the depth calibration instructions. But I think it can be a useful tool that I'll keep. I liked that it runs on 4 AAA batteries and I don't need to put a 12v battery in my kayak. wanted all the time. UPDATE: I got a free case and it's way better than expected. I don't expect to do more kayak fishing this year. But now I have a very nice case to store my sonar until I need it again.
