I was impressed BUT!

"This hand mixer is well made and powerful" I ordered it for use on our boat as a space saving tool in the galley. When I got this blender I tried it out in a pot of water, it looked good and we kept it in our galley drawer until needed. Well, the first time I actually used it was yesterday to puree a pot of pumpkin soup. It worked great for about 30 seconds and quickly broke the cheap plastic coupling in the photo that connects the motor to the mounting shaft. Are there spare parts for this item?
