I bought this because my youngest son banged the switch screen pretty hard against the edge of the bed from frustration in the middle of playing. My eldest son ordered it with the tools suggested and was very impressed with how well it worked and how easy it was to install. (Of course he's tech savvy) But it wasn't long before a simple fall shattered the screen and ripped it apart again! We were still in the grace period and managed to get another one. That being said, I'd say it's a bit more sensitive than the original screen, but I think that's okay. Overall it does what it's supposed to and works just as well as the original screen.
