This wallet would certainly make a nice gift for a budget-friendly gift exchange.It is presented very attractively in a nice box with the wallet itself nestled in a white mesh pocket with a sharp-looking brand/logo card laid on top.The craftsmanship and stitching is good overall and the wallet looks attractive.However, the material looks, feels and smells like bonded leather.It doesn't have any strong or negative odors, but neither does it smell like leather.Though this wallet is minimalist in terms of its simplicity, which I appreciate, it is not what I would consider a slim wallet in terms of thickness.When I pinch down toward the center of it, it's still about a half inch thick with nothing in it.
