These containers are ideal for storing powdered or liquid samples. We wanted them to contain a teaspoon of powder. To test them, we added a teaspoon of water with some red food coloring. A teaspoon of water equals five grams. The container is only half full. We unscrewed the lid and let it sit on its side for two hours. Nothing came out. They are really available for the delivery of samples, whether liquid or solid. The only downside is that they are made of plastic and, like normal drinking straws, will likely sit in a garbage patch in the sea for 10,000 years.
