Really works. I was skeptical due to the limited number of reviews, but it controlled my Sony and LG TVs on the first try. Make sure you download ZaZaRemote and enable automatic screen rotation. The black end should be pointing towards your TV, if you don't rotate your phone it won't work. It should be obvious, but people eat tide pods these days. The main reason I bought this is the ability to switch the TV input in hotels. Far too often they use TVs without physical buttons and lock the remote control to prevent changing the source. I assume I can bypass this hassle so I can connect my Roku stick to the HDMI port. Of course note that not all hotels block their TVs to this extent but I've recently had 3 in the last month so this is what happened. Let's hope it works on your next trip!
