My black dog is 3/4 Labrador and 1/4 Border Collie. She is about 60 pounds. So she rushes through the desert in search of lizards. He collects surprisingly few cactus thorns. I soak it before going out and pour water over it about every hour. She never got a hot spot from it. It suits her. 4 stars, it broke around the neck and I had to fix it. And I don't think it will last more than a summer. But I think it will be worn for 200-400 hours. This is heavy wear and tear. Which is really damn good. hp It keeps her cool
