weight was better than worsted, slightly higher than DK weight. So the yarn is not very thick, but it worked very well for my purpose! The yarn is not soft and I probably won't knit anything with it, except for mittens. Mine was full of spiky black fibers. Maybe it was part of the design but I didn't like it. This was not a breach of the terms of the contract. For mittens, this is AMAZING. I used it to knit a wool lining for someone's leather gloves. I told him they should repel water and keep his hands warm even if they get wet. He used them in the snow and told me they were like magic, even though his hands got wet they were still warm. I will definitely be getting more to make work gloves. Overall, they serve a great purpose, especially if you're someone who needs to knit something for someone who spends a lot of time in nature.
