Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhanced 4-Pack Wii/Gamecube Controller Extension Cables for Optimum Connectivity with GameCube and Wii Consoles by Leslie Sharp

A great product to buy without hesitation

These cables are more than enough to get the job done. They extend the GameCube's short wire just enough to sit comfortably. I didn't daisy chain them as I'm only 10ft from the TV. They were cheap and worked well. As for all the negative reviews, I can understand why, but I'll try to put them in perspective. Genuine Nintendo products are of the highest quality you can buy. All of my original NES, SNES, N64, and GameCube controllers work perfectly after many knocks and tumbles, disassembling to remove dirt, etc. That being said, we expect all controller ports and buttons to be exceptionally high quality. She. That's why I think people have problems with these extensions. The connector that plugs into the GameCube or Wii port is a bit too small, causing the cable to dangle a bit on the side of the console. Now the cable fits perfectly, but pulling out the cable requires half the force of an OEM connector. This isn't a problem unless you pulled the plug while playing, which shouldn't be the case. It is no problem for me. The other side of the cable that goes to the controller is a little tight. The controller plug is difficult to fit into the extension cord when first used. Insert the cable with a little force until it stops. They make a loud click. Then, grasp the ends of both cables and disconnect them. After doing this twice, the connector now connects perfectly to each of my controllers. Looks like it just needs hacking. A thousandth of an inch doesn't sound like much, but it makes or breaks a very tight connection with a weak connection. That is also no problem. Unfortunately, the build quality of aftermarket products will never compete with Nintendo. However, these cables work perfectly and I've plugged and unplugged them dozens of times over the past two weeks. I see no reason for the plastic to start falling apart or the cables to start breaking. If my experience isn't outstanding I will update this to reflect that. In the meantime, get those cables, they'll get the job done. Just don't throw them out of your system or controllers, I've seen them break if mishandled.
