I've been using the smaller 4oz hose for years and it's starting to run out. I bought this 8 ounce tube so I wouldn't run out anytime soon. I use it with all the brakes on our cars. Never had any problems. 8 ounces is big enough for the average auto repair shop, and if you have more than one car, it will last for years. I don't store it on the lid but on the side.
