Cut the 3/16 inch guide steel rod twice and then cut that as well.
Cut a 3/16" round bar of steel in half twice - it will then be too dull to cut anything. The description says "Ideal for cutting all common steels, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals." Ideal if you're willing to pay $17 a cut.
