I think you have to be tall and skinny for this dress to work. I'm kind of average and average (5'5 and 135). It made me look very square and bold. And this is one of those dresses that actually works against you if you have boobs - my 36 Cs were right above the waist and looked very matronly and sloppy. This obviously works for some people, but it was really humiliatingly unflattering for me.
