Review on Minka-Aire F831L-WHF Tear 60 Inch Ceiling Fan: Enhanced Cooling with Integrated LED Light and Energy-Efficient DC Motor in Chic Flat White Finish by Stephanie Adams

All Minka Aire fans seem to have noise issues as this is the fourth fan I have installed and all have the issue to some degree. This larger one is severely unbalanced when running at altitude and cannot be corrected due to the shape of the leaves. They contain counterweights but they have nowhere to attach so they are not visible and if you use clips they will scratch the coating on the plastic blades. I think I'll only run at intermediate level. The installation was very frustrating. I've installed many fans in my life and this one was ridiculous. The remote control receiver does not fit properly in the holder. I ended up just sticking it in and putting the lid on as best I could. It's a high ceiling so it doesn't show too much, but it's clearly a design flaw. Also, this fan adopts a more advanced remote controller, which has reverse function and more speeds. Note that although it says so, it does NOT work with the updated wall control. It works great with the included handheld remote (and yes, I know how to sync it). The fan looks good and the adjustable light is very bright. The plastic blades have a frosted finish so I'm assuming they'll be difficult to clean when the time comes, but we'll see. I wouldn't buy it again.
