Beyond Thrilled for Sports

The mat arrived today and I was immediately impressed. It didn't smell like other brands and it's MUCH lighter than expected which is great. I weigh almost 300 pounds and a pillow was enough if I stood on it on a wooden floor. But is it soft enough for my cat to think it's a new bed? The stitching is heavy and the cover looks much better than the typical floor mat cover that tears easily. Honestly, I would appreciate a product at a significantly higher price point, but here the value would make me happy.
