Review on Oreck Commercial Upright Cleaner XL2100RHS by Drew Gengler

I've been waiting a month to write this review and wanted to share some tips on usage and maintenance. This was perfect for my needs. But everyone has different needs. So here's a little background story: I needed a special vacuum cleaner (no accessories) for light hardwood floors that could also handle carpets. This Oreck vacuum stays on the ground floor as I already have a separate powerful carpet vacuum downstairs. For this need it worked perfectly and very efficiently. I tried it on carpet and the suction power was poor compared to my heavy duty vacuum. So if you are looking for a durable and lightweight vacuum cleaner for hardwood floors or very short-pile carpets, then this vacuum cleaner is for you. Below are some tips for the Oreck XL2100RHS vacuum cleaner. FIRST TIP: DO NOT buy the GREEN vacuum cleaner replacement bag: PK800025. This bag is offered in the instruction manual together with PK80009. However, this is NOT the bag that comes with the Oreck XL2100RHS. There's a reason. It's cheaper quality and doesn't last. Check out the reviews. The case that came with the Oreck XL2100RHS and that I bought is of this model: PK80009. This is exactly the BLUE PACKAGE that came with the device. Also here you want to order BLUE BAG REFILL: PK80009. SECOND TIP: Along with the Oreck XL2100RHS you get a flavored Fresh Tab. It looks like a very large pill and is meant to prevent odors. This tab should be tucked into a small cloth pouch. This pocket is located inside the outer bag at the point where the disposable bag attaches to the connector assembly. THIRD TIP: Oreck has already included a spare belt that fits easily into the storage channel under the suction nozzle. It is recommended to change this belt every 6 months or annually. FINAL NOTE: If possible, buy filters/tape yourself from AMAZON. They are usually cheaper and more likely to be authentic. That's all! I hope this has been helpful to you all. :) Be careful.
