My teeth whitening trays made by my dentist became loose from prolonged wear so I decided to try these as a replacement. I contacted my dentist to get new ones but they said they had to do new impressions and it would cost $500! Unfortunately, this product did not work at all. I tried 4 different methods with each tray and they all turned out to be rubbish. The material is too thick to make a good impression; does not fit well on the front and back of your teeth. The result is a very loose mouthguard that can be held by the tongue or lower teeth, but is not tight enough to make significant contact with the teeth, making the whitening gel virtually ineffective. Also, if you cut off the tongue at the front of the tablet, it won't cut cleanly, so you'll end up with a dimple irritating the inside of your lip. I suppose cutting with a razor blade might be the solution. I can't afford to buy professional trays so I'm not sure what the answer is, but they aren't!
