I bought it after a master class I read on the Internet about sewing applique on elastic fabric. I wasn't sure I would need/use it right away, but with Halloween approaching I figured it wouldn't hurt to have it on hand. Fast forward a month and my daughter said she wants a Wonder Woman costume. . I sat down with the fabric and a printed copy of Wonder Woman's logo and tried to figure out how to sew the gold logo onto the front of her costume so everything lined up correctly. After a discussion with my friend where he asked if I could glue it on (no, glue stick doesn't stick to spandex) I realized I have Heat 'n Bond. I dug it up, read the instructions and decided to give it a try. I first used a stick-on stabilizer on the right side of the gold spandex. I drew Wonder Woman on the adhesive backing. Then I cut out the outer outline of the logo. I then ironed the first side of the hot melt onto the back of the logo and then carefully cut out each part of the logo. I even carefully cut out the inside of the line (where you can see it red in the photo) and saved. I subtracted paper from Heat 'n Bond for the four pieces that make up the logo. I placed all the pieces on the red top including the inner line piece as this helped the other pieces keep their places (I left the paper on this piece as I didn't want to use it). directions and lightly pressed the pieces to the red tip. I removed the inside of the line and the logo was positioned perfectly! Then I sewed in the logo application. In the picture the logo looks finished. Without Heat 'n Bond I would not have been able to recreate the Wonder Woman logo for my daughter's Halloween costume. He joined two pieces of spandex fabric so I could sew the logo in place. This version of Heat'n Bond is the "Lite" version. It's designed to hold two lighter pieces of fabric together and from what I've read and researched most people sew over Heat 'n Bond. They make a heavier version designed for tougher conditions.
