I bought these with 6/8 and 0/2 gauge wires. I turn off the main RV battery breaker) and the smaller ones for backup power (without starting the generator). / 120V AC input. I use a propane torch to "solder" the pins - and make sure you have a larger quality heat shrink tubing to hide the solder joints. Finally - there are small holes in the middle of the connectors - so passing a cable/cable tie through means you have a "permanent" vibration-resistant connection.
