I have a preschooler and a child in elementary and after just a few days my husband was asking why we hadn’t purchased these ages ago. We’ve been using SkipHop placemats, which wash well and are highly durable, but it’s just an animal face. These are much more engaging and provide an opportunity for learning during meal times - when my children are satiated and happy and much more open to learning than say, any other random time of day. They wash well and the stick on the bottom is perfect. I saw another review that said something about beads falling off. The bottom of ours is a single layer of clear rubber. Pizza, salsa, and marinara sauce have yet to stain them. And they dry quickly. Will be ordering the more advanced ones as our children grow. For this purchase we got the 4 pack with shapes, colors, abcs, and numbers and a 4 pack with money, time, seasons, and calendar.
