I have a 2020 HP G6 830 EliteBook (65w Type-C PD port, Cypress PD controller) and it will be charged immediately when there is a network connection. internal EC (Embedded Controller) on my laptop and Windows cannot recognize UCSI commands from Type-C port. In layman's terms, the PD port has stopped loading and displaying videos. I called HP and they wanted to replace my entire laptop after remote debugging. What needed to be fixed was a dead battery reset to restart the EC (my battery is not removable from this model) so I was able to hold the power button for 30 seconds to force that reset. I tried this charger again and the same thing happened. I don't think this charger is USB-IF certified as far as I can tell. I've tried several other USB Type-C PD chargers (45W, 60W, etc.) on my laptop and they all work fine. I have to say that this company was very friendly and immediately refunded my money and gave me an extra credit to buy another one, so 1+ for that! Unfortunately I have had a bad experience with this charger and will be looking for another company that is USB-IF certified.
