Relatively inexpensive. I'd say it is heavy duty enough to put something valuable on it. I had an unusual purpose for it. I used three hooks to support two free standing solar panels that I'm storing in my garage in case of power outage. I used one inverted at the top to hold the panels in place with the bottom hooks supportingnthe weight ofmthe panels. There is some flex when I put the 2x15 lb solar panels but it seems to be holding well. I wouldn't hesitate to use these hooks for tools although I'd consider a modular organizing system that supports hooks and rails for more comprehensive organization. So far looks durable but time will tell.
