*Update* It's been almost a year and my hair has NEVER been wrapped around the reel. There are 3 long haired girls in our family and with my old vacuum cleaner I had to cut my hair off the roller at least once a week. Plus it does a great job cleaning our dog's hair and because the canister is so big I can vacuum the whole house and just shake it out once. LOVE this Shark model! First, Shark vacuums are the best. I have used 2 Shark Ultra Light vacuums in the last 7 years. Both times the loop on the dust cap broke and the accordion hose on the underside developed wear holes over time. (I vacuum every day because my dogs shed a lot.) So I decided to try a different model. Because of the super lightness, the Navigator weighs more than I'm used to and the power cord isn't that long. The suction power is great, I like not having to change the nozzles when changing from carpet to hard floor and so far no hair has gotten around the roller.
