I am at a loss to comprehend the rationale behind the abundance of glowing testimonials regarding these routers. Perhaps only I was affected by the issue of the unreliable performance of the Internet when using this router. After installing the TP-LINK Archer C20, I have experienced intermittent loss of internet service (RU). That is, there is a link to the network through the use of wireless or LAN technology, but access to the Internet is restricted. The issue occurs intermittently, and when it does, everything functions normally for thirty minutes, after which the Internet is unavailable for a few minutes, and then it reappears. Resetting or rebooting the router provides temporary relief, but the same issues soon arise again. They say that this is a typical problem with TP-Link and that it is related to the fact that inexpensive routers are unable to resist the load (?!) The firmware has been updated to the most recent version; by the way, it is remarkable that TP-LINK has not released any new firmware for the Archer C20 (RU) in over a whole year. Is the model still applicable to the company, or has it become obsolete? In general, the router would be a decent buy because of the price, the number of LAN ports, the signal strength, and the existence of 5GHz, but the problem that has been stated is so aggravating that I want to return it to the store and buy something else instead.
