My cat climbed into this bed, as soon as I took out her box he knew it was for him ! It is very roomy, the pillow is very thick and soft. It appears to be reinforced (so appears to be very strong) with metal rods that match the color of the woven fabric. Which by the way has a plastic feel, which I like because it doesn't scratch - it feels very smooth, doesn't cling to things and my cat won't try to eat it! Don't judge the lack of enthusiasm on my cat's face - he's 17 years old and just loves to chill all the time. Gone was his youthful demeanor, his need to capture the inner workings of his feline brain, his concern for the quality of my photos.
