I didn't know the wires were so tiny. Most cables are 16 gauge. I would use this with caution on higher powered units. During use, simply check the cord with your hand to make sure it's not too hot. If this is the case, your device is drawing more amps than that cable is rated for. Volt and ampere are two different animals. This cable is rated for 300 volts (pressure), but I'm not sure what the amperage (flow rate) is. If your device draws more current than it can pass through the cable, it will get very hot. Most modern low-powered devices will probably be fine, but be aware.
