I forgot to disable the XMP profile before shutting down my PC to upgrade the 2 x 4GB DDR4 3200 GSKill that was there before, but figured it would be ok since that memory also has 3200 about the XMP profile. The PC didn't start, but after a few beeps and auto power cycles, I couldn't enter the BIOS of my ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 and the memory was now at 2400 by default. I tried setting it up via the XMP profile 3000 and save the settings. After that it turned on and started to boot but then I got a file corruption warning from Windows 10 while booting. I set it to 2933 and now it seems stable. I won't be going back as the price was good and I'll probably just lose a few fps in games. Still disappointing as the GSKill memory ran fine on the 3200. To update. My motherboard had a new BIOS installed that said nothing about additional memory support, but now the memory is running at full speed and stable over XMP.
