This is a slow autofocus, but it has a very solid construction and a thick plastic cover ensures smooth operation. The only thing missing is a cover extension to actually protect the underside of the USB port, but that's enough. I use these flash drives for backup storage and for installation media where speed is not an issue. Also, I have one on my keychain where power is more important than speed - all those fancy metal-bodied sticks warp in my pocket and stop working, and this thing just keeps ticking. I just clean the stupid USB connector with compressed air every now and then.
