These bags are ideal for cleaning litter boxes. Plus, it does a great job of keeping odors at bay. Depending on your dustpan, the opening of the bag will be perfect or a little tight to actually point the head of the dustpan at a bad spot to empty the trash. I have 2 trays with different spoons. My metal head, which has a slightly smaller head than my plastic head, fits in a complete mess, with no debris falling out during the transfer. However, my plastic fits the hole size exactly and transferring debris can be tricky at times. I will be purchasing a smaller scoop instead of the plastic scoop as I plan to keep using these bags.
