My baby is smaller. He turned 18 months last winter so I bought him an 18 month old size. In fact, it was so big that we tucked the sleeves into the cuffs. He wore it again this winter and it fits great even though he's 2 1/2 (again he's small - not exactly 36 inches tall, 29 pounds at 32 months). the coat is excellent because it is longer and does not expose its belly to the cold, even if it puffs up a little when worn. I've washed it several times and it has held up well. It keeps him warm in Chicago winters. that says a lot! I highly recommend it for good warmth, great length and good quality for 2 years. I'm considering buying it as a 3T for next year while it's still in stock!
