Review on 🍎 Starfrit 93013 Pro-Apple Peeler with Additional Core Slicer by Sabrina Ross

Apple pies bake faster.

I confess that for many years I was too cheap to buy an apple peel because I only bake a few apple pies a year. I thought the paring knife did its job well enough to peel them as many times as I needed. Then last fall came and we had so many apple picking trips that I decided to make a lot of applesauce. Then I succumbed to the charm of yet another kitchen nonsense. All I can say is I should have given up sooner. This toy gadget peels apples incredibly fast. The downside to this is I'm making more apple pies than ever and my husband says he's getting fat. I chose this one based on the reviews and the price and am very glad I took the risk. The knife has three blades so it will last a long time. When the scrub is done, only a tiny patch of skin remains at the very top and bottom. As you can see from the product image, the skin that peels off is wider than with traditional peels. I prefer wider skins because they taste better when eaten and are great for using in candied apple skins. and doesn't work well. I still prefer to use a knife to cut the apple because I prefer large chunks of apple in my pies. Be sure to leave the plastic caps on the spikes and blades for safekeeping. Happy baking and please leave the recipe in the comments section so I have an excuse to peel more apples, my kids fight over who turns the knob so I'm always looking for other uses for peeled apples. Edited to add: I uploaded a video of my senior using the cleaner, it's actually easier than he showed - I think he was nervous on camera. As you can see, my average guy is just plain crazy, but in a good way.
