Forget it if you have aftermarket CarPlay. Nobody could tell me how to download the app on the Android part of my JVC KW-V850 BT. Not from a USB drive on my PC to the Android portion of the device, and certainly not to an iPhone that can be included in the CarPlay system. Don't waste your time. All the reviews I've read say that if you install a key, it doesn't work reliably. I don't know if you've ever tried to fix an accident while driving down the street, but that's not what you want to do. If you can at all My opinion is that most advertising is misleading. I ordered CarPlay from the aftermarket. And as soon as I received the product I received emails for Japanese product support which again was a waste of time to reply to. My proof is that no one offered me acceptable technical support to make it work.
