I've had my Advac14XP in over 20 years of use my replaced home. From my online research and reviews, I settled on the ProTeam ProForce 1500XP upright bagged vacuum with HEPA media filtration. It was difficult to assemble. The metal tube of the handle/switch did not fit into the socket (instruction step #3) at the bottom of the housing channel. I had to plug and unplug many times because the bolt hole on the grip tube didn't line up with the threaded nut in the body. I had to smack the handle with my hand several times to finally get the hose connector into the base socket. Once this was accomplished, a screw locked the handle in place and a switch on the handle turned the device on. I like the wider 14 inch trade path compared to the narrower household vacuums because I vacuum my house better in less time and still fit between furniture legs. This vacuum has more suction power (CFM) than my previous HEPA filters reduce airborne particles from exhaust Softer/bigger wheels roll smoother and quieter HEPA filters protrude about 1" at the top and 1" at the bottom of the filter housing. This restricts vacuum cleaner access under closets, beds, etc. Too bad they didn't put HEPA outlets on the sides of the filter housing. It works well on wood, ceramic and carpet surfaces. I hope it lasts half as long as my old one!
