To call this bag waterproof overstates its capabilities. Took this bag kayaking, the bag held some clothes and my wallet. My husband tipped over and the bag was in his kayak. While the bag kept the items inside significantly drier than the rest of the kayak's contents, it wasn't waterproof. This bag does a good job of protecting against water drops, but don't expect it to hold your keys when you're underwater.
